Our Mission: Provide high quality comprehensive weight loss care for adolescents and adults in the northeast Ohio area.

 Why bariatric medicine?

There are thousands of options available to those interested in weight loss. These include the Internet, books, and various group weight loss programs. Wading through all the options is difficult. Having professional medical advice along with a thorough evaluation is essential to safe, effective weight loss. While some Internet sites offer access to prescription weight loss medications, this can be dangerous without a careful evaluation and understanding of the risks involved. We don't offer a single approach. Our goal is to design a weight loss program for each person based on her or his own needs.

What we don't do.

We are committed to providing high quality medical care. We don't provide weight loss treatment over the phone or Internet without a complete medical evaluation. While we do occasionally prescribe medications for weight loss, this is only done after a complete evaluation and as part of a comprehensive weight loss and weight management program.

We do not perform bariatric surgery. However, we will assist in setting up a referral of severely obese persons to a qualified bariatric surgery center when this is appropriate.
